On Wednesday, April 22, join with Peace Over Violence in spreading the word about sexual violence prevention. When you realize that 1 in 6 American women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime, you begin to realize that you must know or attend school with or employ/work beside at least one woman whose life has been personally affected.

Start a Dollars for Denim campaign at your school, workplace or congregation by:

• Encouraging everyone to wear denim on April 22;
• Select a point person who will post flyers, send out emails and collect donations;
• Invite Peace Over Violence to make a presentation on sexual violence prevention;
• Spread the word about Denim Day by emailing friends and family;
• Recommend that everyone who wears denim on April 22 make a donation to Denim Day USA by going to denimdayusa.org/donate and making a safe and secure donation. OR, giving their donation to the group point personl

Suggested amounts:

• $2 / if you’re a student,
• $5 / for employees participating in a workplace campaign, or
• $10 + more for individuals who can afford to partner with us in underwriting this campaign.

On Denim Day:

• Wear denim and encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to do the same;
• Have the point person tally up the money collected and donate the money online (click the ‘DONATE’ button below) or send a check(s) to: Denim Day USA, 605 West Olympic Blvd., Ste. 400, LA 90015, attention: Roxann Smith.
